You have amazing passion for the work you do, and yet
sometimes you find yourself exhausted and worried that you
are burning out. How can you avoid depleting your reserves?
How can you stay energized and centered? How can you stay
passionate about the work and life you love? This
interactive program will focus on the habits that can
contribute to burnout, and how you can change them. Ann
Deaton, will share with you the risks of tolerations, and
the challenges of requests. You’ll have the
opportunity to take a short self assessment to discover your
energy drains, and you will leave with a plan for several
action steps you can take so that you too can stay fired up
without burning out.
Ann V. Deaton, Ph.D., PCC is a leadership coach with DaVinci
Resources. She is certified in coaching by the Newfield
Network, as well as holding a PCC (Professional Certified
Coach) credential from the International Coach Federation.
Ann received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The
University of Texas at Austin and worked in leadership roles
in health care settings prior to transitioning into
coaching. Since 2002, Ann has been providing executive
leadership coaching and teambuilding to individual leaders
and organizational teams to enhance their self awareness,
communication, decision-making, teamwork, and leadership
effectiveness. In addition to individual and group
coaching, she also provides workshops to groups and teams to
provide a common language and approach to their challenges.
Ann is trained in the use of Appreciative Inquiry, The
Leadership Circle 360, Myers Briggs Type Inventory, Barron
EQ-i, The Leadership Culture Survey, and the Conflict
Dynamics Profile, as well as other approaches and
assessments. Ann serves as a leadership coach in Virginia
Commonwealth University's School of Business, the
Partnership for Nonprofit Excellence, the Virginia Health
Care Foundation's Leading for the Long Term, National
Association of Women Business Owners, and CIA University's
Program on Creative Leadership. She teaches coaching courses
for The University of Texas at Dallas Executive Coaching
Program.
